Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. (KONAMI) announces a special campaign celebrating football’s biggest festival kicks off today from June 4th until July 23rd in eFootball, the free-to-play title available on consoles, PC, and mobile devices. Users can earn distinct rewards and participate in in-game events inspired by this year’s biggest summer football event. During the campaign period, users logging into the game will be rewarded players such as Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal for free. Additionally, users can earn eFootball Coins to sign new players as well as Selection contracts that grant access to top-tier players from the Argentinian and Spanish national teams.
This limited-time campaign invites users to strengthen their dream teams through in-game events inspired by this year’s ultimate football event. In the International Cup 2026 event, users can play as their favourite national team, progress through the tournament from group stage to the knockout rounds and compete to be crowned world champions. Furthermore, from June 13th until the end of the campaign a new special player list, Player of the Day (POTD), will be available for users to obtain. Players who shined during the ultimate football tournament will appear as special featured in-game players.
A new campaign has also begun where users can invite their friends to play eFootball together and earn select rewards. Invited friends can also earn eFootball Coins by completing the specified conditions and obtain ‘Epic: Steven Gerrard’ by playing Friend Matches. Alongside this, eFootball confirms Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney, will appear at the fan event eFootball World Festival in Bangkok, Thailand. The eFootball World Festival takes place on July 26th, pre-registration for attendance is now open.
