EA Sports has announced the hotly anticipated player ratings for FC 26. Does your favourite make the list?
Each year with a new FC entry, gamers and football fans alike excitedly await the ratings reveal. Perhaps your club has had a poor season? (Yes, I’m looking at you, my beloved MUFC) Or maybe your side has exceeded expectations like a Nottingham Forest. The player ratings in FC releases are a firm reflection of that (generally speaking).
So whilst I don’t expect to see many United players high on the list (though you could absolutely make a case for Bruno Fernandes), it’s always a fascinating read to see if EA Sports are roughly on point with what their audience feels.
Just to clarify, as I write this, I’ve NOT seen the full list. So I’ll put my top 5 here and see if it matches up, something I may do for other articles.
My personal Top 6:
- Mo Salah – fantastic season, the numbers don’t lie.
- Haaland – City clearly had a poor season by their own ridiculously high standards, but Haaland still posted very respectable numbers.
- Van Dijk – Posted his best appearance stats in 5 years and remains the same old menacing, intimidating, no-nonsense CB of his younger years.
- Isaak – Inspired Newcastle to a cup win and CL qualification, looking the finished article. Incredible season
- Cole Palmer – Mr Chelsea himself was immense, posting frankly ridiculous numbers. Averaging a goal/assist every 1.5 games.
- Bruno Fernandes – Carried my team to a 15th-place finish…*Tumbleweed blows*…In all seriousness, he had a solid season, contributing a total of 19 goal contributions in 36 games. If the rest of the side were on his level, then we would have fared much better.
EA’s actual list

I’ll take that! Three out of five isn’t bad. Do you agree with these ratings? Perhaps you feel your favourite player should be higher up? Let me know your thoughts in the comments box below.
On a personal note, you may as well just name the ratings reveal as Liverpool FC. Arne Slot’s side boss the list with at least 1/3 of the lineup being from the successful title-winning Liverpool side. (Fair point in all honesty). As for my side. Only Bruno and Mbuemo have respectable ratings (87 & 85). Why Bruno isn’t rated an 89 I’ll never know!!!
FC 26 releases on the 19th of September, early access for ultimate edition owners, and on the 26th of September for all other standard versions. Console formats include the Xbox One, Series family & PlayStation 4/5
