Play Harder and Stream Better with the Newest OMEN and HyperX Lineup from HP

HP ups the game with smarter systems, cooler builds, and gear that hits different

HP Inc. unveiled the next evolution of its OMEN and HyperX gaming ecosystem today at its inaugural Level Reforge event. Powered by AI, built for creators, and engineered for players who demand more from every session, the new lineup allows you to stay in control. PC gamers continue to raise the bar for what they expect from their gear, from smarter performance to more expressive setups. Building on the momentum from CES and HP Amplify earlier this year, the company’s latest launch delivers OMEN AI across more devices, including the powerful new OMEN MAX 45L desktop and HyperX’s latest personalised audio lineup.

OMEN MAX 45L – Powerful, High-Performance

Targeted at gamers craving elite performance and effortless upgradability, the OMEN Max 45L sits at the top of the OMEN portfolio and is expected to be available in 2026.

  • Long-Term Viability – Including up to an AMD Ryzen™ 9 9950X3D processor and up to NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5090 graphics
  • Thermal Efficiency – Built with the patented OMEN CRYO CHAMBER™, an industry-first technology pulling in fresh, cold air from outside the chassis to isolate and cool the CPU
  • Maximise Airflow –  A re-engineered chassis design featuring raised feet, open bottom vents, and vented PCI slots
  • Maximise Power and Control – Featuring OMEN’s first fully modular 1200W PSU, featuring customisable fan curves, built-in cleaning mode, and real-time monitoring

OMEN 35L – Versatile and Stealthy

For gamers looking for more flexibility, HP is introducing two refreshed OMEN 35L desktops – standard and Stealth edition. Compared to the OMEN MAX 45L, the OMEN 35L balances performance and affordability to provide a reliable and powerful device at a lower cost. The latest OMEN 35L includes support for up to an AMD Ryzen™ 9 9950X3D processor5 and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5090 graphics, improved thermal performance, and the same modular 1200W power supply introduced in the OMEN MAX 45L. The OMEN 35L Stealth Edition offers the same internals as the OMEN 35L in an all-black, RGB-free enclosure. OMEN 35L Stealth Edition is the official PC of League of Legends Esports and the VALORANT Champions Tour, proving that it packs the power and capability for competitive gaming. The OMEN 35L is expected to be available in 2026.

OMEN AI – Smart Optimisation

Enhancing the already stellar performance of the hardware, OMEN AI has expanded its capabilities and now supports powerful titles like Valorant, League of Legends, Apex Legends, and Fortnite. OMEN AI is integrated into the OMEN gaming hub and available across OMEN and select HyperX systems. Their AI delivers real-time optimisation with minimal input so players can stay focused on the game, not the settings.

HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 – Endurance and Performance

Whether communicating clearly or creating content, gamers expect peripherals that reflect their style and perform at the highest level. That’s why HP is expanding the HyperX lineup with new gear that puts customisation, sound quality, and convenience at the forefront. The HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 Wireless delivers professional-grade sound with unmatched endurance, and introduces HP’s first reprogrammable RGB Base Station in a wireless headset. This headset is expected to be available in September 2025.

  • Play Longer – Up to 250 hours battery life in 2.4GHz mode
  • Stay Connected – With simultaneous wireless connections between a gaming PC and a phone
  • Hear Everything – 53mm dual-chamber drivers and a refined acoustic profile for immersive low-distortion audio
  • Cool and Comfortable – Memory foam ear cushions, breathable materials, and a lightweight, steel re-inforced frame
  • Personalised Experience – HyperX NGENUITY software enables advanced audio tuning, lighting effects, and control customisation to match playstyle

HyperX Cloud Flight 2 – Improving Compatibility

Similarly, the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 brings a dynamic personalisation experience. It features full RGB panels, removable earcup plates, and long battery life, whether on PC, PlayStation, or mobile. Xbox gamers can achieve even greater compatibility with the Official Xbox licensed HyperX CloudX Flight 2. Expect this headset to be available in September 2025 for Xbox and December 2025 for PC and PlayStation.

HyperX FlipCast – High-Resolution Sound

The HyperX FlipCast is the most versatile microphone in the HyperX lineup, supporting both USB and XLR connectivity. Whether streaming, recording, or creating, the HyperX FlipCast gives players high-resolution sound in a design that grows with them. The HyperX FlipCast is expected to be available in September 2025.

  • Broadcast Quality – With a dynamic mic capsule tuned for clarity and background noise rejection
  • In-Flight Tuning – Make live adjustments using signature gaming elements like the beveled input level meter, tap to mute, and a multifunctional dial for fast action
  • Personalised Experience – Equip the HperX NGENUITY software to customise the RGB LED ring and unlock simplified pro-level tools anyone can use

HyperX SoloCast 2 – Small But Mighty

Last but not least in the lineup is the redesigned HyperX SoloCast 2 microphone. The HyperX SoloCast 2 Microphone offers streamlined sound and compact versatility for everyday users. This plug-and-play is perfect for gamers who want to sound better right out of the box . Featuring a built-in shock mount, foam pop filter, and software-enhanced controls, this mic punches above its size. The HyperX SoloCast 2 is expected to be available in September 2025.

September is gearing up to be a big month for HP, with most of the HyperX line releasing then. “Gamers expect more than just raw power. They want gear that aligns with how they play,” said Josephine Tan, Senior Vice President and Division President of Personal Systems Gaming Solutions, HP Inc. “From AI-enhanced performance to our most powerful OMEN desktops and personalised HyperX gear, this lineup is designed to deliver at every level, including the highest tiers of competitive play.”

#20 – Forgotten Franchises, Development Purgatory and the Prince that Persia’d
byHype From Outer Heaven

On this episode of Hype from Outer Heaven, join Kyle, Brandon, Caleb and Prince as they discuss long-dormant franchises that are in desperate need of a reboot. Franchises like Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, Legacy of Kain, SOCOM: US Navy Seals etc. are just a few examples of once prolific franchises that have been left at the side of the road. Is it due to a lack of interest? or has the very nature of gaming changed, with investors and publishers not giving long-dead franchises the time of day based on the fact that they would be a financial gamble? If so, they usually end up in development purgatory and eventually cancelled (such is the case of Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun) or doomed to the realm of mediocrity with a chewed up and spat out mobile game that has all the depth and charisma of a jellied eel. From Prince’s love for Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia, to Kyle’s somewhat overlong fanboying for the Legacy of Kain franchise and calls for it’s return, and Caleb’s worry of the return of Duke Nukem in the current political climate, the lads engage in a debate about their forgotten franchises they would like to see return, whilst coming to terms that they’ll all be nearly forty or over by the time The Elder Scrolls VI releases.
