Publisher Kabam and Herobeat Studios, developer of the BAFTA-winning and Game Award-nominated Endling – Extinction is Forever, today revealed a major new look at Wilderings: The Lost Spring at gamescom 2026, debuting a new trailer featuring the game’s Volcanic biome and its formidable boss, Rohe, while confirming that the open-world action-adventure is launching 1.0 in spring 2027.
Blending open-world exploration, fast-paced action, roguelite progression and creature collecting, Wilderings: The Lost Spring follows Abi and her companion Rif through a fractured world being consumed by darkness. Along the way, Abi discovers and adopts mysterious creatures known as Hântu, which become her weapons, abilities and traversal tools as she fights to restore life to the world around her.
ENTER A WORLD BUILT BY FIRE
The new gamescom trailer takes players into one of Wilderings: The Lost Spring’s most extreme environments yet: the Volcanic biome, a landscape of exposed rock, intense heat and constant geological activity that may look barren at first glance, but is anything but lifeless.
Plants, Hântu and other creatures have adapted specifically to survive in this dreadful environment— and even thrive— among the heat, minerals and volcanic forces that shape the region.
MEET THE HÂNTU OF THE VOLCANIC REGION
The Volcanic Region introduces three new Hântu for Abi to discover and recruit. Razzle fires explosive projectiles that burn and multiply on impact, Mokul summons pyroclastic rain that scorches entire areas, and Furioso hurls magma that spreads between nearby enemies. Together, they give players new ways to harness the region’s destructive power in battle.

FACE RÖHE, THE MOTH BOSS
Gamescom also marks the first look at Röhe, the Moth Boss, a young hunter from the Frostlands who challenges Abi to a demanding battle in the new Volcanic Region.
Set in a magma-lit arena, the fight tests Abi’s movement, combat skills, and Hântu abilities through well-timed dodges, strategic attacks, and constant traversal. Röhe may tower over Abi, but players who adapt and persevere may still bring the giant down.
