Maze Theory is bringing its gritty immersive gangster game, Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom, to the UK’s biggest video games event.

Maze Theory have announced that their upcoming VR experience, Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom, will be at EGX – the UK’s biggest video games event. EGX 2022 will run from 22 – 25th September at London ExCeL, where Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom is available for fans to play in the UK for the first time ever. 

Immerse yourself within the world of the hit British crime drama, Peaky Blinders. Join the Shelbys in Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom and prove your worth in the criminal underworld of 1920s England. Take down rival gangs and uncover allegiances; the Peaky Blinders welcomes cutthroat mobsters, so be prepared to get your hands dirty in order to climb the ranks in the brutal back-streets of Small Heath and London. 

In line with EGX, Maze Theory is also revealing new key art for Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom.

At the EGX demo, players will be able to:

  • Explore Garrison Lane & Enter the Garrison Pub – Take a trip down the renowned locations from the series, Garrison Lane & Garrison Pub, and experience the dramatic world of Peaky Blinders in first person VR
  • Go on a journey with the Shelbys – Come face-to-face and interact with key characters including Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and brand new character, Rowena Fox, within the universe of the Peaky Blinders TV series.
  • Become a Peaky Blinder – Be part of the unique story set between Seasons 4 & 5 and make your mark on the Peaky Blinders universe.
  • Earn your place – Face a gut wrenching choice in the story and embark on your mission from the back of a van in Small Heath.

Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom is coming soon to Oculus Quest and additional VR platforms to be announced. 

Maze Theory has a strong focus on pushing the boundaries of player imagination within their VR titles, producing notable games such as Doctor Who: The Edge of Time and Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins. The King’s Ransom is aiming to be a truly special experience for both Peaky Blinders fans as well as crime and narrative fans. Featuring iconic locations such as the Garrison Pub, Charlies Yard and characters from the series, with Cillian Murphy and Paul Anderson reprising their roles as Tommy and Arthur Shelby.

Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom is a collaboration between digital entertainment studio Maze Theory, international content distributor, Banijay, and Peaky Blinders’ official brand owner and series producer, Caryn Mandabach Productions.
