They first announced it during their upcoming development schedule but today, Ubisoft have confirmed when PC owners can expect dedicated severs on For Honor.

PC owners of For Honor will be able to play with dedicated servers on February 19th. Don’t worry console owners, the PS4 and Xbox One will of course follow suit soon after but a release date for them has yet to be fully confirmed.

This follows the very successful Open Test that was done in December. This allowed the team to gather data needed for the live release, the development teams are now ready to deploy the dedicated servers in For Honor. At launch, the dedicated servers will focus on PVP game modes and will fully remove the session migrations as well as the NAT requirements while eliminating most of the resyncing, resulting in a more stable experience and improved matchmaking. Speaking about today’s announcement, Damien Kieken, Game Director stated:

Changing the online infrastructure while the game was live was a challenge, but a decisive step in improving the game experience of our players. The implementation of the dedicated servers gives us confidence in the direction the game is taking and will pave the way for a full year of continued support and new contents.

Another major update, Age of Wolves, will deliver major updates to five Heroes as well as several updates that will adjust player progression, ranked play and more. Celebrating the anniversary of the game, the launch of Age of Wolves will also coincide with the start of a three-week special seasonal event during which players will get the opportunity to earn extra rewards. New training modes that will offer new and veteran players additional ways to hone their skills will be introduced to For Honor later on during Season Five.
